Too much wood

I don't see the need for a wood-specific chest, since that would mean there's too much wood for the player to use. I'd prefer to use it for crafting and building.

I have two more big sheds, one filled with kegs and one filled with preserves jars. I also dumped 7 stacks of wood in hoppers in front of charcoal kilns, which helped me get the coal for the preserves jars and to melt enough ore for the kegs as I was otherwise a little short. I can now put a bunch of cheap fruits and veggies into machines to magically turn them into cheap (but slightly more valuable) pickles and jam and juice and wine.
