Thank you for your years of continuous maintenance and updates. While planning my annual planting layout, I noticed a significant asymmetry in the Speed-Gro mechanic that I'd like to report systematically.

Current Situation

Speed-Gro currently only reduces the number of days to first harvest. For single-harvest crops, this covers the full lifecycle and works as intended. But for multi-harvest crops such as cranberries, blueberries, coffee beans, and ancient fruit, the fertilizer becomes completely ineffective after the first harvest — the regrowth cycle is entirely unaffected.

Examples:

Cranberries: 7 days to first harvest, reduced to 4 days; but the regrowth cycle is always 5 days.

Blueberries: 12 days to first harvest, reduced to 9 days; regrowth is always 4 days.

Ancient fruit: 28 days to first harvest, reduced to 15 days; regrowth is always 7 days.
The Unfairness

With the same fertilizer investment, single-harvest crops gain a 100% benefit across their entire lifecycle, while multi-harvest crops only benefit during the first cycle. The regrowth phase, which accounts for 80%–90% of these crops' productive lifetime, receives zero benefit. This systematically excludes multi-harvest crops from efficient fertilizing strategies, creates a “new player trap,” and weakens the strategic depth of the fertilizer system.

Key Comparison: Deluxe Retaining Soil

Deluxe Retaining Soil works identically on single-harvest and multi-harvest crops — it doesn't treat crops differently based on whether they regrow. This proves the game already has a precedent for fertilizers applying equally to all crops. Speed-Gro should follow the same principle: treat first harvest and regrowth equally.

Best Suggestion

Let Speed-Gro's percentage apply directly to the regrowth cycle: Regular Speed-Gro −10%, Deluxe Speed-Gro −25%, Hyper Speed-Gro −35%. This is the most unified mechanic, aligns with the design logic of Deluxe Retaining Soil, and also closes the gap between the description and the actual effect.

If strength is a concern, alternatives such as a half-effect on regrowth or a flat −10% reduction could be considered. But any of these would be fairer and more reasonable than the current “completely ineffective” state.
