If there was a speech bubble option it would make multiplayer a more enjoyable experience IMO. I use the game to catch up with my sister who moved away so I think speech bubbles would make sitting at a pixelated table on my farm while talking using the in-game chat feel more like we're there with each other, if that makes sense. I understand it'd block the view of some things and take up a lot of the screen, but maybe if you made the bubble itself transparent like how houses and trees become transparent when someone walks behind them? There used to be a mod that could do this but it stopped updating. Also maybe a feature to "whisper" to each other or party/spouse chat like in MapleStory so that we can see what's being said even if we're in different maps (speaking of which mappable buttons for facial expressions like in MapleStory would be cool too I think, but maybe that's a topic for another thread).
