Standard Farm Kate's Deep V Farm

So named because I'd been watching old Westerns and all the ranches seemed to be named after shapes and letters... and I thought it sounded nice. This wasn't the first farm I took to perfection, but it's the one I've invested the most in, hope y'all like it!

This farm makes ~40 million gold in a year. Here's the breakdown!

I always plant a recurring crop (strawberries/blueberries/cranberries) around the Junimo hut in the southwest, and rhubarb/starfruit/pumpkins in the smaller patch below the house (which is the original field, basically unchanged). The smaller field yields 128, which fits perfectly into one keg or preserve shed. The two left sheds of the three in a row in the middle are for kegs and look like this:

I can't take credit for this layout (saw it somewhere else), but I like it because it fits 127 kegs, plus an indicator outside makes 128 - adding lamps in the corners costs nothing with this, it's only 2 less than the absolute max (on mobile), and the nerd in me loves the power of 2.

The rightmost shed in that row is for processing eggs, roe, and mushrooms:

Since I stopped needing/utilizing the farm cave, I let the wizard turn into a little workshop:

I think the Junimos like hanging out here, although they did take over the last unclaimed space below the greenhouse for a mini-village.

The cabin in the southeast is for times I want some time away from the hustle and bustle, so it's a little getaway tucked into some trees. Though I do have to go by on the way to the preserve sheds down there.

There are 224 jars in those two sheds, plus the remaining various machines that don't get used hardly ever:

The reason for the 224 is the setup of Ginger Island, for which I'm going to add a post.

The slime hutch is probably fairly normal in its layout, started with green and blue slimes. I find that I actually prefer watching my outdoor slimes. It's a self-sustaining population, originally started with red and blue slimes exclusively. Slime genetics sure are interesting!

The matching shed above the slime hutch looks like this - I wanted to make my own display shed for not just museum things, although there is some significant overlap.

Besides the minerals, on display are specialty gems, foragable flowers, mushrooms and roots, ores, prismatic roe (and mystic syrup in there cuz I think it's pretty), and monster loot. I fit all but one of the Lupini paintings here as well, the last one is in the house.

The Ginger Island farm is primarily ancient fruit - of the 480 per harvest, 256 go into the kegs to be wine and 224 (which is exactly 1.75 big sheds) go into preserve jars to be jelly. Some iridium mangoes fill out the oddly-shaped edge of the river, and a few pineapples fill out the other side.

There is also a fairy rose honey farm and taro root area west of the river, and a mini vinyard in the southeast (with a Junimo chest hiding behind a banana tree) for ensuring my Junimos are always well-stocked with raisins.

On the beach is a dedicated campfire (which sometimes gets infiltrated by those pesky mussel nodes) and a beachside bar that has live music every weekend.

I haven't spent a great deal decorating absolutely everything, but I did feel like the train station needed some sprucing up besides just my oak and maple orchards:

That and I made a nicer entrance to the Adventurer's Guild, plus my diamond quarry of 315 crysatallariums. I'm sure it's not the max that could fit, but I like the aesthetic of how I made it and there's a path to take from the mine cart that harvests the whole thing with very minimal backtracking.

The dwarf decided to expand beyond his ... pilfered ... goods shop and start a crystal bar, for those who enjoy munching on tasty tasty rock candy. He also is keeping a secret grove of sweet gem berries next to a statue garden at the entrance to the mine (though it's not complete without the two serpent statues... working on it...)

The house is a bit more cluttered than usual because Kate is hosting a potluck card party - the dishes are already spread out in the dining room and the card tables await in the living room. The kitchen island under a skylight boasts a neverending supply of hot peppers for all the spicy eel one could want.

Her indoor flower garden in the south room is almost complete, just two flowers missing from their correct spots. The sewing room in the large corner room is Kate's personal retreat, while the arcane library in the attic is where Sebastian goes when he's feeling overly introverted. The kids Seth and Sally like to play in their room or in the schoolroom.

The Ginger Island Farmhouse became a color-themed aquarium - red room, blue room, and green room. Each large tank is dedicated to one kind of fish except for the aquatic sanctuary, which is for red fish and the jungle tank, which is for yellow fish. Choice of fish was purely my personal preference.

I like the carrots near the greenhouse, it's such a tiny thing, but still.
Nice farmcave! I'm sure Demetrius doesn't mind his research place being transformed like that...

Because it really is.

Why did you need to fence off the scarecrows, are they dangerous? As far as I remember they can't even move, that's cursed mannequins... And I see mushroom trees near the adventures guild too, though it not that hard to imagine them being like false magma caps, but bigger.

Thanks for a reminder about fish tanks, I keep underusing them, gotta fix that now.

Haha, no they aren't dangerous... I actually had fencing there first to sort of balance the southern edge of the farm, then I thought I'd have something of a scarecrow display to flesh it out. And so they can creepily watch you go by....mwuhahaha...

Glad you like my little greenhouse patch, I rather like it too! I put the 'forage seeds' there (carrots, summer squash, broccoli) just to spice things up a bit.

Well, that's reassuring, but I still wouldn't really trust them.

I've seen something similar done with flowers, but they're cute too! Especially little carrotlings.

Oh, that's soooo pretty—I really like it. This game has such a strong “dollhouse” vibe with all these decoration options... How long did it take you to get it to look like this?
I'm in mid-spring of year 11. Though I married late this save (basically put it off until I needed the 12.5-heart stardrop), and didn't really start decorating until long after that. Plus it takes me a while for inspiration... ideas tend to come sort of sporadically as I run around, not all at once.

I really want a tea set for that empty table in the living room, so I'll probably keep playing this save on and off until I get one ... who knows, I might keep adding stuff as they come to me 🙂
