I'd love to host a multiplayer farm for the kids I babysit as they have all started loving SDV, playing one farm when they're at my house.
However, I have a Mac & Steam (but could purchase through GOG if needed), one kid has a PC and Steam, the second is on Switch, and the third is on Playstation.
If I invited them via IP address and they connect to my LAN, would all 3 kids be able to join the same multi-player farm with me as the host on my Mac? I'm assuming the kids on console need to have internet access enabled to access the LAN.
Also, is there a way where I can give a false IP address or do something like a VPN so I'm not giving these kid's families my ACTUAL IP address - for my own safety? Or is there another way I could protect my safety?
