Give crop quality a purpose in Artisan Goods without changing their value

Suggestion: Give crop quality a purpose in Artisan Goods without changing their value
The problem
Currently, crop quality is very important while growing crops, but it loses most of its meaning after processing them into Artisan Goods.

For example:

  • A normal Strawberry and an Iridium-quality Strawberry both become the same Jelly.
  • A normal Fruit and an Iridium-quality Fruit both become the same Wine.
Because of this, once a player starts focusing on Kegs and Preserves Jars, quality-related mechanics become much less valuable:

  • Quality Fertilizer becomes less useful.
  • Farming level bonuses feel less important.
  • Food buffs that increase Farming skill become less attractive.
The optimal strategy becomes growing as many crops as possible and ignoring quality.

Possible solution
Instead of increasing the price of Artisan Goods based on ingredient quality, quality could affect the properties of the finished product.

This would keep the current economy balance while making high-quality crops meaningful.

Example:

Normal quality ingredient
  • Standard Artisan Good.
  • No additional effects.
Silver quality ingredient
  • Artisan Good gains a small random effect.
  • Positive effects weaker and less reliable.
Gold quality ingredient
  • Artisan Good gains a useful and more reliable effect.
Iridium quality ingredient
  • Artisan Good gains a guaranteed strong positive effect.
The selling price could remain unchanged.

Example
Strawberry Jelly:

Normal:

  • Restores the usual amount of energy.
Silver:

  • Possible small bonus, such as a little more energy restoration or a short buff.
Gold:

  • Stronger food effect or a useful temporary buff.
Iridium:

  • A powerful version of the effect.
The exact effects would not need to be the same for every Artisan Good.

Why this could work
This would create meaningful choices:

  • Sell high-quality crops immediately for quick money.
  • Process normal-quality crops for profit.
  • Keep high-quality crops for personal use.
Players would still have a reason to build Artisan Goods production, but farming quality would remain valuable throughout the entire game.

It would also make existing mechanics work together better:

  • Fertilizer,
  • Farming level,
  • Farming buffs,
  • Crop quality.
The goal is not to make Artisan Goods more profitable, but to make crop quality remain interesting after processing.

Thank you!
