iOS Emergency save does not restore the day after entering a festival

I noticed an issue with emergency saves on iOS.

On a normal day, when I put the game in the background, an emergency save is usually created. If the game needs to reload when I return, I can choose to continue from where I left off during the day.

However, this seems to be different when I am participating in a festival.

If I enter a festival and then put the game in the background, when I return to the game, it starts from the morning of that day instead of restoring my progress.

I have experienced this with several festivals, including:

Egg Festival
Desert Festival
Flower Dance
Luau
Dance of the Moonlight Jellies
Stardew Valley Fair
Spirit’s Eve
Ice Festival
Feast of the Winter Star

The Dance of the Moonlight Jellies was especially unfortunate because it starts at night. I forgot that returning to the morning would reset the day, so I accidentally lost the same in-game date twice. 😭

I also try to check whether an emergency save is created when I put the game in the background, and I don’t seem to see one being created while I am in a festival.

For example, during the Feast of the Winter Star, I had already collected eggs, processed them, petted my cows and pigs, collected milk, and prepared a leek in my inventory to give to George. I entered the festival and then put the game in the background because I wanted to do something else on my iPhone. When I returned, I was back in bed at 6:00 AM, and all of that progress was gone. 😭

This also happened with iOS 26.6.1, so it does not seem to be related to the recent update to iOS 26.6.2.
