Question about mods folder

Has anyone ever copied and zipped their Mods folder and sent it to a friend to use? I wonder if any specific files in there use coding or text specific to my computer that would confuse someone else's computer? I hope that makes sense. Basically I just want to give my friend a copy of my Mods folder because it seems easier than giving them a big list of mods to download. Any experience is welcome!

This should work just fine, as long as you're not publicly sharing a bunch of mods of course.

Thanks! Oh, yeah its not public or anything, just between us to help him skip the step of getting them from nexus and setting them up the way I did.

I tried it and it seems to work! Other than some unrelated connection issues where it kicks him sometimes (I'm host). Seems possibly unrelated anyways. His log is clean.
