It matches or maybe even surpasses starfruit wine in means of earning, for each mine trip I am making between 15-20k gold just by slaying monsters which is in a season worth equal to around 100 iridium quality starfruit wine which takes 80 days including growing. Same amount of money for the less than half of the time and plus the loot you get from the mines

It isn't really passive tho you need to water them daily plus the cost and material for the equipment and space, it was a comparison against the most expensive goods we can produce not to replace one another by the time you are able to do both you are already at the end game for such passive farming and getting trinkets
