Question Modding on Linux

Hello,

For those of you who have played Stardew Valley on Linux before, do you think installing and using mods in the Linux version of Stardew Valley is more complicated than the Windows version? I am trying to decide whether to play on my Chromebook or a desktop PC. Any opinions would be appreciated!

My understanding is that Linux is similar to the Mac in terms of file structures and modding, and it's actually easier to set up SMAPI on the Mac than on Windows. The process of installing mods is identical, just moving folders around. I think it's really just a question of how familiar you are with the file system of that OS.
