Hey there everyone,

I've been playing Stardew Valley on Xbox One since 2018, with some long breaks in between.

I started playing again a few months ago and I'm continuing with my current save file. I also have the latest 1.6 version.

Right now, I'm a bit stuck.

For example, I can upgrade my house with the nursery, and I've unlocked a coop, the golden scythe, iridium axe, fishing rod, and the Galaxy Sword, plus a lot of other things.

Now, I'd like to unlock Ginger Island, which requires Willy to have 200 hardwood.

Is it really true that you can only get 12 pieces of hardwood per day?

If so, that will take forever!

Robin also needs another 300 hardwood to upgrade my house.

It feels like it will take an eternity to gather all of that

When you chop down those tree stumps, they might give you mahogany seeds. Plant those (with tree fertiliser if you can, because they grow slowly), and you should get the hardwood in no time.

If you still have them on your farm (and don’t want to keep them for decoration), the large logs also give quite a lot of hardwood.

The Secret Woods area, might drop only ~12 hardwood per day, but either chopping logs or killing slimes, may yield mahogany seeds! If you plants lots of those in an open area (ex railroad), with tree fertilizer applied and then harvest them properly (first shake each and every tree for chance of dropping more seeds or mysteryboxes or random cosmetics, then chop them down completely), then you have a steady income of hardwood.

Racoon family also trades you one mahogany seed, for 20x coals in exchange. Ginger island, has like 6 mahogany trees, that once chopped down, they can regrow still, over time. You can also unlock "Dangerous Mines" from Mr. Qi's endgame quest(s)... But those latest methods are currently beyond your reach, i assume.

Just run the plain old tree orchard solution! Most time and effort efficient method, even post late-game, guaranteed. I myself plant, chop and replant, mahogany trees, in batches of 50x! Make sure to not forget the Tree Fertilizer though, for each one of them.

P.S. And don't forget to open the professions, under "Forage" category, for gaining more wood and for all trees to have a chance for dropping hardwood!

@HaleyRocks I can go to the train station. The station is free for me. Do I understand it correctly that I need mahogany seeds for hardwood?
Hmm okey, let me try it out because I am not in a good condition right now... :(
You know I am still missing the old times where it was possible to use the console for funny times :D
But however... I will try it out!
The next hard thing for me is the skull "castle" where I should receive level 100...

Back before mahogany seeds were introduced, I would use the foraging profession skill that would allow trees to drop hardwood. This would really help out a lot, as I am known for farming trees and had plenty of them.

With the advent of mahogany trees, it got to the point that I was actually selling full stacks of mahogany, because I had way too much and didn't know what to do with it all.

If you can get into a rhythm of harvesting mahogany, then you'll be perfectly fine.

Even just those 12 a day add up fairly quickly if you go there every day. Roughly half a season and you have 200. But do like the people above suggested and plant mahogany seeds if you have them, and add tree fertiliser
