Does Fashion Sense mod actually work????

I have questions about the Fashion Sense mod. The last 2 updates of that mod both have at least 3 pages worth of bug report posts. There are some clothes that I would like to put on my character that require it but I have avoided downloading and installing it because of all the bug reports. My first question is "Does it really actually work?" Second question is "Can the clothes be converted so Fashion Sense is not required?"

My god those are a LOT of bugs. You can extract your save and start a new one to test it out. I'm pretty sure it's not possible really because fashion sense is a framework and the content packs are specifically made for it.

I know, right! And there are all these new mods that are being made right and left that require Fashion Sense. I'm asking "why are people making all of these if it doesn't work?" I'm wondering just how much of a difference is there, if any, between the sprites for Fashion Sense and the sprites for Content Patcher or Json Assets. Is it possible to change the framework and they will still be useable, provided that I can ever figure out how to make mods.
