About this mod

Reminds you to exit the game on start of day (after saving). Useful if you often forgot to exit after sleeping (e.g., because you want to tune a config.json, or install/uninstall a mod, etc).

Have you ever experienced this:
  • You're halfway into a day
  • You encountered something that made you think, "If only there's a mod that can help me with this..."
  • You paused the game, go to NexusMods, search a bit ... and found a mod that exactly solves your issue!
  • You downloaded the mod, and promised yourself, "I'm gonna exit the game next start of day and install this mod!"
  • You continue playing go to sleep, wake up, do all morning stuff like watering your plants, rush to the house of your loved one because it's their birthday, grab a quest, go to the mines to solve the quest ...
  • ... you realize that you should've exited the game and installed that mod, but because you're better than halfway through the game, you keep continuing and promising yourself, "I'm gonna exit the game next start of day and install that mod!"
  • Repeat the above 2 steps indefinitely.

I have.

That's why I make this mod.

Whenever I reached point #4 above, I press F7 (customizable; see below), and next start of day, I'll be reminded to exit the game. If I change my mind, I'll just press F7 again and the reminder is deactivated.

tl;dr: This mod does one thing and one thing only: Reminds you to EXIT THE GAME on next DayStart. Activate reminder by F7. Deactivate by F7 again.

Installation
  • Install SMAPI
  • Extract this mod to the Mods folder
  • ...
  • Profit!

config.json knobs
  • Enabled -- if false, then this mod will not do anything
  • HotKeyActivate -- defaults to "F7"
  • HotKeyCustomMessage -- defaults to "RightShift+F7". Activate, but with a Custom Message (for further reminding you what to do)

Yes, this mod supports "Generic Mod Config Menu".
