Finally got off the procrastination wagon and got the achievement for crafting all things. Last thing made was a beehive. Seems like I'd got a total of 5 from the bundles and the prize machine and wasn't sure if I had made one or not.
Done some Skull Cavern runs, mostly aiming to complete the monster hunter goals. Still needs about 7 mil for a golden clock, so the race is on whether I'll find enough Pepper Rex for the goal or if I'll earn enough. Ensuring that the sheds are busy processing is higher priority than getting off to the desert early enough to get all the way to 100 without using too many staircases. I'm also trying to avoid using too many bombs, so there's less to buy/make for the first serious attempt.

It's seemingly more worth it to buy perfection wavers than it is to buy the golden clock. So, if you're willing to forgo the clock and buy waivers, save your time.
If you're going for a Joja-less run, and you don't mind cheating, you could cheat in a high-selling item, like the Legend. Then Gus will have a dialogue option where he'll say your name, and you can have him say it multiple times, so you can rack up millions in minutes.

Difficult to do, since I don't intend to check the perfection tracker until after I've achieved perfection.

To go for a Joja-less run, I'd not only have to beat that crystal game, I'd also have to win the dart game. The latter is pretty much impossible for me, and in either case both games are frustrating enough that I haven't even tried one round of them this playthrough. The 60,000 the parrot wants is a small price to pay to avoid wanting to throw my phone across the room. I have yet to pay, in the hope that I'll get the urge to make an attempt at the crystal game.

Currently needing about 4.5 mil, 27 Pepper Rex, (and 6 golden walnuts). I think I could shake loose over half the money with what I've hoarded in my chests. Even if I got the money for the clock fast I'd still need to chase down those dinos. So I see no reason to cheat.

Reached level 100 of Skull Cavern without using a single staircase, and while I was worried I'd brought too few bombs, I had more than half of them left (about 80 reduced to just over 40). Yes! Now I can take Qi quests about reaching that floor and use as many staircases as I want without being chided for it. Not that I need to complete any of his quests at this point, but it would give me a reward as I try to get enough pepper rexes. Nearing the end of my third year, so it feels nice to have that part out of the way. The entry on my quest list had been taunting me since Winter year 1.
I really like the magic quiver trinket. It keeps most enemies at bay while I look for the staircase or hole.

I will never understand people who find the crystal game hard. Never. Literally never. It's just... Simon says. No, seriously, never will I understand the struggle. Of course, I do have an advantage, that being I play on switch and can just save a video of the pattern, so... I guess I'm just cheating.

And I have a good short term memory. And it is just Simon Says with an extra button.

I have terrible, horrible short term memory (much better long term) and I get stimulation overload very easily. Simon Says was the bane of my childhood. And I feel like I would be cheating if I took a video - which I may eventually do, but I also fail at the dart game, and will probably just pay for the remaining walnuts.

Honestly if you dislike the game just skip it, it's not worth doing something unenjoyable or continuing to fail over and over because of something you have no control over.

You can also always just buy them as the last 5 walnuts if you don't feel like recording your screen. My method is having a piece of paper where I draw the 5 in their respective location then draw a line in order as I see them, feels like something you'd do if you stumble into a cave and saw the crystals in real life, so I don't bother myself over it.

The first few rounds are easy enough but when there's 7-8 notes played in the time it took to play 3 notes at the beginning (feels like the time gets shorter for each round though), it gets tricky, and then having to start over, and getting them about 0.001 second slower for each attempt. Too little slow-down to notice anyway. After about a dozen attempts, my ability to focus is wearing out and I start to fail one round earlier.

Playing on mobile and having the phone sometimes thinking I poke the screen somewhere I didn't doesn't help with that game either.

Less than 1.5 mil left to go, and 13 Pepper Rex (and 6 golden walnuts). When I had to put my phone to charge I'd reached the day the desert festival starts in year 4.
One of my pigs also gave birth during the night leading to that day. Hopefully I can get the remaining dinos during the festival, though it feels wrong to make an endangered species even more endangered. I mean, considering how rare they are compared to the other monsters in the SC, I think they could count as close to the brink of extinction. Especially considering that Demetrius was surprised I'd managed to hatch a dino egg. He must've believed they were extinct already. Obviously he'd never bothered to talk with Marlon about it.

Kinda wondering when Shane will ask for another child. Our first has been walking for a while now.

Perfection reached. One day later than in the previous save, mainly because I forgot to pay that parrot to get the remaining walnuts. Got the remaining Pepper Rexes during the Desert Festival. Went to the Summit instead of going to the Flower Dance. Then played one day extra because I got distracted and didn't go to pick up the Statue of True Perfection on that day.

Shane did get around to ask for another child a few days before reaching perfection.

Now to pick another name, another map, and another spouse. But November will be pretty busy for me, so I don't expect to get that much gaming done, certainly not enough to go from day 1 to perfection in less than a month.

ETA: Rolled dice about what farm map to use, and will now go for the Beach.

I mean to be fair people are finding it hard because they are properly doing it.......

I just found my seventh lucky ring with the iridium pan! Also I have 58 iridium bars and I have never been near the mines. The farm ponds seem to be the best for rings and shirts. One haul on the farm produced an iridium band, but the iridium ore came from all over.

It's Feast of the Winterstar Y2 in my fifth playthrough. I completed the CC and found the dark Talisman, gifted Lewis a rabbit's foot and got a pumpkin pie from Leah. Robin finished my third Fish Pond, and I placed Sturgeon in there for the Missing bundle. Have the two Keys, enough money and also high friendship with enough villagers, so I feel well prepared for Grandpa now.

Farmer Wednesday pathed the entire town so George and Evelyn can easily get to the general store/temple, library, theater, blacksmith's shop, book seller, community center, carpenter's shop, spa, mayor's house, bus stop, the beach, the pier in cindersap forest, the woodland neighbor's shop, Marnie's ranch, and Frump Farm. Also did this to the weird little yard beside the community center:

I'm sure the townsfolk will enjoy it once it's not snowing.

The ostrich has a golden animal cracker now, too. I'm going to need to make a couple more mayo machines. I have enough supplies to make about sixty of them, so that won't be an issue.

At some point, a purple slime was born in the island farmhouse, because only a female purple slime was hatched but there's now a purple male in there as well.

I also finally remembered the stable, so Robin's building that now.

700k to go for the golden clock.
