Trash cans

I've always know there's stuff in the trash cans but I would rarely check them. You lose heart points with people if they catch you. But after I found a rhubarb pie, two joja cola and jade on the same dayI now always check.

I also check every day. I normally get different dishes out of the Stardrop Saloon trash can.

I mostly just get trash, broken CDs or bread so I rarely bother anymore. I wonder if it's better on different systems...I play on Android.

I play PC. Its mostly trash but when it's not it awesome.

So they all have a random chance of junk but some have other items too!

Saloon - Chance of a food dish
Blacksmith - Chance of some ore
Museum - Chance of some geodes

Getting junk isn't always bad as you can put broken cd's, trash, broken glasses, driftwood and soggy newspaper into a recycling machine to make them into useful things including wood, cloth, coal, iron, torches and even refined quartz.

Yup, Only natural decay stops at full hearts.

Should be the same on all platforms. Keep in mind that what you can find depends on your luck, so it's best to check on lucky days or once you have some items that boost your luck. You will still find a some trash items though, they are trash cans after all :)

Do you remember which trash you found the red quartz in? I usually find bread in front of Kent and Jody’s house, cookies in front of Evelyn but I haven’t gotten red quartz yet!
