I want to be able to pet my horse!

I can pet all the other animals on my farm including my dog. I can feed them all too but my loyal horse, I can’t pet him or give him an apple as a treat... he stands patiently waiting and what does he get in return? Absolutely nothing! And I can’t upgrade his stable either! It’s open to the elements - how’s he supposed to stay warm and dry in the winter! Poor Grover

Check out the Upgraded Horse mod. It doesn't seem to let you pet your horse but it lets you feed them. I haven't tried it myself but it seems to add a friendship mechanic to your horse.

Thanks Eliasntr but as an old bat with absolutely no clue what modding is, I suspect I’ll have to leave it. Thanks though! Maybe if the game gets another update, they’ll build in a bit of horse TLC.
