PC [BUG] Stuck on initial load screen then crash

When I click on my file to load the game it will go into the black loading screen and freeze there with no sound. If I don’t exit the window eventually it will crash on its own. Upon starting my boyfriend’s save file the game loads normally. I went into the app data as seen on another post and was given an xml error but I don’t know what this means.

Were you using any mods in your save? Saves can sometimes crash if preexisting mods are no longer present in the game.

I have never used mods with stardew and this problem has been going on for 3 days now but I’ll look into the trouble shooting
