Solved [BUG] Items on chest giving free copies on the ground

I noticed this bug when i have to get an item from my chest and forgot to make space in my inventory.

1. Have a full inventory slot.
2. Open a chest with your item
3. Click an item in the chest and click the "Organize" button

Ta daa! You make copies of that item coming out from your chest

Can confirm it works on Switch current version. Pretty gnarly bug that can ruin the game for you, be careful!

Oh wow yep, that’s it..just read the post and looks like it’s getting a lot of attention! I don’t see any confirms for mobile or Xbox.

I think this needs to be patched. Wouldn't something like this cause the game to have issues eventually? Possibly corrupt the save data.

Interestingly if you put the copied items back into the chest they all merge into a single item

Thanks for the report. Until it's fixed, I recommend not doing it.
