Switch [BUG] House upgrade placed furniture on top of character

Hiya,

Running in to a similar issue described in threads like this, namely:
1. had a house plant next to my bed
2. upgraded house
3. woke up to find house plant occupying the same tile as my character when they wake up

This means I'm unable to move, or even go back to sleep.

Troubleshooting steps I've tried:
  • Ax / any other tool to dislodge the furniture (because I can't target the space I currently occupy)
  • Holding down the action button on a free inventory space to dislodge the furniture (because I can't target the space I currently occupy)
  • Exhausting myself in the hopes that the next morning would be different (it wasn't)
In other scenarios, folks have manually edited their save file, but this doesn't seem feasible on the switch.

At this point I'm out of ideas, and looking at throwing away my beloved farm! :( Appreciate any and all feedback and ideas.

Just bumping, as this issue makes the save completely unplayable :( Any recommendation from the community on ways to move forward?
