Hey there! Information about the next Stardew Valley update comes out slow and steady before it pops up in everyone's Steam/GOG accounts. In this thread, I've compiled links to the information we have so far and what you might expect in the coming months. This thread may have 1.5 spoilers, so read at your own risk!

1.5 is the next version of Stardew Valley to come out, which will have bug fixes, adjustments, and gameplay additions. Big updates are typically indicated by a whole number, so we should expect 1.5 to be a bigger update. However, each update varies in the amount of content; for example, 1.3 added multiplayer and a few mid to late game changes, while 1.4 added a ton of quality of life changes and random additions from early to late game, including more story progression and a new farm map.

Confirmed Information

What to expect

Notifying about the next update- There will be split screen co-op (among other teased things)
Here is the discussion thread.

  • split-screen co-op confirmed for console and PC, the number of simultaneous players depends on the platform
  • 2 new areas, one is a mining-like area and the other one a farming area (not explicit if it is a farm map you start with)
  • 2 new monsters, one looks like a new type of slime and the other looks like a new type of metal head
  • several placeable objects-- one that has a bone engraved on it, a phone, a new type of brazier, an item with a solar essence statue, a dark box-like object and a brown box-like object
  • 2 new types of chests
  • a new weapon
  • a new consumable item, looks like ginger
  • a new placeable floor type
  • a new hat

Posting to notify the latest, teensy teensy update. CA stated that the 1.5 update is in the "home stretch", which means it's safe to assume the update will come out soon! There will be more focus on late-game content, but there should still be enough early-game that would justify a new run.

You can see both posts here and here

Here is our discussion thread about it!
