Mac stardew for mac from app store

Hi I bought Stardew for my mac from the app store a while back and now it is no longer in the app store, i know that players who got their game from steam, etc can update their game to the 1.6 update.

Is there anyway to get my game updated or will i just have to suck it up and buy it again from steam? In hindsight i should have bought it from steam in the first place but i wasn't really thinking about it at the time. Does anyone know what i can do or if this is happening to anyone else?

To my knowledge SDV has not been available on the Apple Mac app store. What is the version you have? You can find out by tapping the question mark icon on the load screen. Are you sure you didn't buy it from GOG?

To get the update for Mac, you'll need to have either the Steam or GOG version.
