Proposal to add door knocking mechanics to NPCs

Do you agree that this mechanic would make it easier to manage your life in Stardew Valley?

Hello! While playing Stardew Valley, I noticed one rather inconvenient detail: the waiting time for NPCs, or the inability to enter certain buildings at the beginning of the game, at least adds a little hassle to completing quests from the bulletin board or the usual timing for the day. Therefore, I had the idea of giving the opportunity, in any form, but adding the mechanics of knocking on the door to the NPC (perhaps by also adding some level of social engagement in the city, something like fishing skills, gathering, etc. For example, if the level of how involved you are in responding to such a knock / some similar action, depending on the level of this skill, but this is already a contemplation of the distant horizon of the idea). What is at the door of the house, or what is at the door of the rooms. I think that this will make it a little easier to complete certain tasks, personally for those who rush the entire game (however, it's definitely not me, there was a simple inconvenience). Especially if we are neighbors for everyone, then why not have such an opportunity, right?

I'm not quite sure, if this would be helpful. It only makes sense, when someone is in the room, but the villagers often run around somewhere. 🤔

That's why I first mentioned the doors of the house, because sometimes you want to talk to a character, or give something away before they open or after they close in the evening. Purely a QOL feature
