Mine is from either the first game of Utawarerumono, or the first anime series with the same name that's based on the game. Kind of a harem story. Watching the anime, I pitied the MC, because he didn't get any of the girls surrounding him. In the game he can get pretty much all of them. I might mention that I played the game with Japanese text and patched-in Japanese voiceovers. It's possible to install a patch for English text, but I wanted to train. It's more of a novel with pictures where you pick the next section to read, and occasionally having battle scenes.
The game (and anime) begins when the MC wakes up badly wounded, not remembering his past, and with a horned bone mask he can't remove over the top of his face. The MC gets named Hakuoro. I once reached the place in the game where the MC is about to enter Dinebokushiri, their bad afterlife. Then I had to take a break and after that I started over and tried to make saves before the funniest scenes in the game, like when two rivals get into a spitting fight, and before the intimate scenes. The latter noticeable in how the music shifts and the voiceovers stop. So much information pieced together during the course of the game with sometimes minute hints.
Because of this first game, I bought the second game: Utawarerumono - mask of deception, but I've yet to get around to play it. I have seen some of the anime based on that game though. Yet another MC waking up with amnesia, not even remembering their name. The girl that finds him names him Haku (because she's heard a lot about Hakuoro, but that only gets apparent later). A lot more characters wearing masks similar to Hakuoro's, but unlike him they can take off their masks.
