Hey guys! Since I wanted something special for the 2.3.0 update, and wasn't able to give it to the PG ver, I decided to add some secret notes to the game!

I just realized that the new update's Lewis x Marnie joke might be too explicit (no nudity, just was too on the nose) for the forms, so I decided to split the release.

Deleting the old post juuust to make sure.

Putting off having the Nexus mod page up, since it has issues with lag.

Yeah I decided to make a nexus account and put the bundle of laggy joy on there! Yay?
But in all seriousness, if you have lag, here are some things you can do.

1. Task Manager
If your on windows, go to task manager and right-click Stardew Valley.
Then, go to details.
Then, right click Stardew Valley again.
Mouse over Set Priority, then click High.
2. Drivers!
Make sure your drivers are updated!
3. Power mode
Go to your power options and set it to be the best performance.

So yeah! Try that out! Might help!

Currently, my verison is kinda laggy and I think it might be because of my personal xnb modifications to my own version?
Ill check that out and see if its still laggy.

EDIT: There are still some stalling issues.

And yeah, if you need to axe a mod for the rest to run on ya pc, try axing this one.

So yeah. I realized that when the new stardew valley update comes out, a buncha things are gonna change.

Since i'm lazy, Im removing a few things so this version can hopefully work on the new update. This is because I might be pre-occupied with school or whatever when it drops... and everything might just break.

So, here are some things that were axed.

1. Clint romanceability.

Clint will be set to his default prefrences, that being not able to be romanced.
This is because when the new update drops, he might have a special way in order to buy and sell things from him.
Before this, I just teleported him to his shop during shop hours so uh... I dont wanna mess with the new stuff/schedules

2. NO Transpliers.

During this time, or untill I update it again, you might get an error in the smapi log about OST BPM.

This is fine. For some reason, there is times where the track in the game is null and the game just... doesnt check?
The transplier I added was a simple null check that fixed this. However, since the new update is coming out, the games compiled code will change and... the transplier might just make the game unplayable if he decides to change the code there.

SO! No transpliers! Just ignore the error!

Also if there was issues on diffrent platforms this might fix it.



I did add some new letters to the game btw. The usual stuff, just refrences. Made some rarer.

oh and i added a secret letter that has a 1 in 900 chance of being added to your mailbox.

So yeah, the new wip update will be only on main (not release) since it adds lag and some bugs exist. Plus that slight change in brightness in dark areas for a second. If your very photosensitive, just use the previous update. I don't wanna give someone a seizure if someone makes a huge network.


To download from github main branch, just download the zip by the big green button. Then you can do the rest of the stuff said in previous updates.

For ease of access:

TO INSTALL:

1. Put the chaosaddon and chaosaddon_content folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods folder.
2. Put the BPM ORIG.txt folder inside the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley folder.

Just ignore all the other files. That's debug stuff showing the actual code. Plus one file for my personal pc.


SO, new ventures. Untill I might come back to this mod, (I have done so in the past in the early stages way before it was published), I currently am looking into some other stuff. Maybe some sims 4 coding? It is pretty hard, way harder than stardew. And it is xml and python based... i.e. way harder.
Also had an idea for a Space station 14 server where its all 'Rimworld' rounds. That would be cool.

TLDR: Ok I'm going to go back to doing nothing for a while but man, thanks guys!

Through the amount of trial, error, error, and by golly more error, this mod is a favorite of mine with how much I can yap about the computer science involved. Ya got transpliers, file management, and cursed gotos in this baby. So, I'm happy I can share this cursed abomination with all of yall.

"So, what's goin on update wise?"

Gonna add a seizure warning for very slight flickering (like the background goes lighter shade of brown in the cellar for a second) So that I can use the easier way to make loops possible for the direction chests. The harder way was... well.. too hard and a pain.

Planning on 2 things if I get to it <skull emoji>

1. Somehow fix a bug where the game just.. forgets to update the list of buildings?!
Like seriously it comes outta nowhere. It just goes "yea nah I'm not doin this" and it's not there. This bug makes it so that existing files that aren't new (I thinks) dont have fish pond chests work. This is because the building is never there in the list so it never, well, does anything.

2. Sorry guys, but the reign of using woodcutting chests to freely cut down trees and other chests to freely gain materials without the stamina drawback will uh, add back that drawback. Its too op.

Got kinda bored and got hooked on another game. Might come back to this later.
